Project Fame is on again this year, bigger than ever, the Opening Gala commenced on the 19th of July with 18 contestants vying for a chance to make it into the Academy!
It was a wonderful opening from the introduction of the new co-host Bolanle Olukanni to a spectacular performance by Makossa legend Awilo Longomba, amidst the selection of the 16 contestants who would make it into the Project Fame Academy.
Christian, Clement, David, Debbie, Emeka, Flourish, Geoffrey, Kofo, Laami, Lasbrey, Melody, Ogechukwu, Rukky, Shola, Taiwo and Ugochukwu made it into the Academy and it’s been a learning experience for them as they strivde to be better with the aid of faculty members; Mummy J, Dupe Ige Kachi, Ben Ogbeiwi and Kaffy in various aspects of their of their talents.
In the very first week of their stay in the Academy, they've had mentoring sessions from Awilo Longomba who advised them of keeping it together while in the music industry and TW Publisher Adesuwa Onyenokwe who gave sound words on the management of talent/gifts.
The first Elimination and Nomination show kicked off on the 25th July and 26th July respectively as the contestants sang their hearts out to the delight of the crowd. Unfortunately we had a few put on probation as Clement, David, Emeka and Shola must now garner as many votes as they can to stay in the Academy!
